Dr. Alveda King: Give thanks to God, prayers and support to humanity this season

A still, small voice keeps reminding me: “It’s not just the government’s job to take care of the least of these. It’s the job of the people of God.”

Over the last few weeks, while praying, I keep being reminded in my heart that true religion is to love mercy, do good, take care of the widows and the orphans; the least of these. My heart remembers that it’s really the job of the Church and the Christians to show compassion for the homeless and the needy, and not just the United States government. It's time to get busy Saints.

To help celebrate Thanksgiving 2025, Alveda King Ministries is hosting a special online church service on November 16, 2025. 

This Thanksgiving, our ministry is also partnering with Emanuel Boose Ministries and other local ministries to "stand in the gap" with prayer, food and other support during this season.
