Dr. Alveda King: As MLK papers emerge, still seeking answers in a crazy mixed up world.

"When peripherals collide, convergence is imminent." ~ Dr, Alveda King |
Occasionally I like to connect the dots and test the temperature of life by examining seemingly unrelated events under a communal microscope. This week in the news we see and hear a lot of chatter surrounding three current events:
What do these seemingly unrelated situations have in common? They are all collective fodder for distracting chatter. My social media post last week added fuel to the fire when I wrote:
“POTUS is not a pastor. He doesn’t run a church. Many of our elected officials are not pastors and don’t run churches. Chip and Joanna Gaines are not pastors. They don’t run a church. They work in a secular network; not a Christian show. Their beliefs come in the category of religious freedom. If you don’t like their show, don’t watch.
MLK was a pastor. He repented, sought forgiveness, loved and forgave others. In America our beliefs come in the category of religious freedom.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2: Pray for them and everyone. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23 NLT
GOD is not willing that any be lost. AMERICA RETURN TO GOD! I’m trying to work out my own salvation in fear and trembling.” Dr. Alveda King #BreakingNews
This turned out to be one of my more liked (or hated) posts with huge engagement. I also posted a comparison between niceness and kindness.

That post didn’t run a close second to the “hot potatoes.” The needle didn’t move away from the chatter even when I added the release of a new cover to a worship song, “For You Are My God”, to the mix.
It was a blessing to get a spiritually uplifting “transfusion” at Cindy Jacob’s DEBORAHS CONFERENCE and preview her new Television Show, When Heaven Hears, in the midst of the melee.

What with my new assignment of Senior Advisor at USDA and everything else going on, I don’t get much time for writing to you these days.
At any rate, as we continue to seek answers to lasting joy, peace and blessings in what for many can seem to be a crazy mixed up world, for me Jesus remains the key. God is my Father and Creator. Holy Spirit is ever my comfort and joy. Though my faith, hope and love are often challenged, I am ever encouraged when I look to “The Rock.”
As I sign off for now, may I please encourage you to be “healthy, wealthy and wise” if and when you can. Pray without ceasing;
Repent, love and forgive often. We are all members of the “one blood human race,” and human dignity matters; for everyone. GOD bless you.
